Yaroslavl "green" energy centers for charging electric cars were presented in the UAE

Yaroslavl-based company Advanced Energy presented its own development at an exhibition in the UAE - a charging station for electric vehicles based on a hybrid gas piston unit, which is capable of generating electricity with almost zero environmental impact. This was reported by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.

The station can simultaneously charge up to 5 cars without the use of city grid electricity. The station's engine runs at variable speed, and the "peaks" are fed into the storage units. This makes it possible to create a reserve of electricity which maximizes the efficiency of the power plant.

In addition, the station can generate electricity "in a green way" from the gas engine.

According to the founder of Advanced Energy Andrey Shepelyaev, the company created the station together with a St. Petersburg company, which produces controllers for connecting electric vehicles of various types.

"We got a ready-made power station that can be accessed and charged an electric car in 20 minutes. It runs on pipeline and liquefied gas, and in the future it will be able to run on hydrogen as well. The capacity can be anything according to the customer's wishes. We feel supported and are ready to install these stations all over Russia and abroad," he added.

The station has been built using domestic components. This infrastructure project is fully prepared for integration into the system of gas filling stations. According to the developers, the implementation of the project may affect the sharp increase in demand for electric cars.

Earlier, the company sent two similar hybrid power plants to the village of Laborovaya for testing in the Arctic conditions to solve the problem of power deficit in remote areas. To date, they have already replaced classic diesel generator sets.
