Russian marketplace Ozon has opened the first sorting center under the brand Ozon Rocket in Belarus for Belarusian legal entities, said the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, citing a press release of the company.

It is noted that Ozon now accepts goods of Belarusian legal entities for delivery in Belarus and Russia.

"Currently, Ozon does not have its own distribution points in Belarus, but under the agreement with Belposhta, Europochta and DPD Bel they are issued in 3.4 thousand points of these companies. Courier delivery is also available," reads the statement.

In six months, from March to September this year, the sales of Belarusian legal entities at Ozon have increased more than five times, said Egor Isayev, head of international business development of Ozon. According to the top manager's forecasts, due to the launch of the sorting center, sales will continue to grow.

In May 2021, the company announced the registration of its operating company Ozon Rocket Bel LLC in Belarus in order to develop its own logistics infrastructure in the country.
