AvtoVAZ reported their sales in 2015 in Latvia. The number of Lada vehicles sold in the Baltic country last year was 334 units.

This 2015 statistic raised sales from 2014 by 2 936.4%, when only 11 Ladas were sold in Latvia.

The Russian company found itself in the top 20 most on-demand brands on the Latvian market. AvtoVAZ earned 15th place in the rating, leaving in its tracks Dacia (325 sold vehicles), Subaru (308 cars), Audi (304) and other well-known brands, they wrote at Kolesa.ru.

Experts connect these high results with popularity of Lada 4x4 among Latvian auto dealers. Practically all AvtoVAZ cars manufactured in this country are off-roads.

The Russian crossover landed on the tenth page of the list of bestsellers on the Latvian auto market. The Lada 4x4 off-road car is more popular among car-dealers, than those such as SUVs, like Kia Sportage and Volkswagen Tiguan.

The most highly wanted brand in this European government was declared Volkswagen, the German brand, who's representatives were able to sell over 2 550 vehicles. Overall, in the 12 months of 2015, Latvian citizens acquired 13 765 new cars.

AvtoVAZ leadership earlier spoke of the intention of increasing the export of transport means, including EU countries.
