Authorities of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District (YNAO) have announced a competition for the creation of a ski complex, which will become part of the tourist cluster in the Polar Urals. This was reported by the press service of the regional government.

"The government of Yamal has announced a tender for the right to conclude a concession agreement for the creation of a skiing complex on the Rai-Iz mountain. The project is the main part of the tourism cluster in the Polar Urals, which is included in the Russian Arctic Zone Development Strategy up to 2035. It is for the first time in Russia that a complex investment project in the sphere of tourism is implemented on concession terms", - the administration pointed out.

It is supposed that in the first stage till 2024 the investor will construct not less than 12 km of the ski pistes of different difficulty, two cable cars, service and tourist center with ski school and rental. Two three- and four-star hotels with a total capacity of 300 beds, restaurants, spa and recreational facilities will also be envisaged in the complex.

The total amount of raised private investments is estimated at 13 billion rubles. No more than 7 billion rubles of budget financing will be provided after the commissioning of the facility.
