Russian entrepreneurs named the development of online commerce as the most positive event for business in 2021, according to the analytical service of the retailer Wildberries.

According to the survey, the positive events in 2021 that helped businesses, 55% of entrepreneurs attributed the active development of online sales, 29% - the growth of consumer demand, 27% noted the digitalization of business processes, 23% - additional education. Another 5% noted government programs to support entrepreneurship and private initiatives of online retailers and banks.

Among the main conditions constraining business development in 2021, more than half (67%) named the rising cost of transportation and logistics services, 66% of respondents pointed to global foreign economic factors. 21% complained about high inflation, 15% mentioned the negative impact on their business of restrictions due to the coronavirus and currency fluctuations, another 11% - about the excessive bureaucracy and 4% - about the growth of interest rates on loans in the country.
