The Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Finance will work out the possibility of attracting additional sources of financing to involve in the turnover of agricultural land. Such an order was given to them by Deputy Prime Minister Victoria Abramchenko.

Agencies must elaborate and submit proposals to the Government until February 1, 2022.

In addition, Vice Prime Minister instructed the Ministry of Agriculture, Rosvodresursy and Roshydromet to submit coherent proposals on reclamation activities in terms of possible shortages of water resources in some regions of Russia after 2030, including in view of climate change until March 1, 2022.

It should be reminded that earlier the government approved a ten-year state program to solve the issue of effective use of agricultural land. This should help put more than 13 million hectares of land into circulation.
