The Kuban authorities will expand support for the wine industry in 2022

Governor of Krasnodar Krai Veniamin Kondratiev held a plenary meeting on the development of viticulture and winemaking in the region.

"In 2022 we will keep all existing measures of state support, plus we will expand subsidizing of vine nurseries and winemaking. We will allocate funds only to those farmers who grow and use domestic seedlings, "- said Kondratiev.

He pointed to the need to assist local nurseries for the development of viticulture on the basis of local breeding varieties.

According to Vice-Governor Andrey Korobka, funding will be aimed at planting young seedlings: this year it is planned to plant 1.5 thousand hectares of new vineyards. In addition, subsidizing of the purchase of planting material, maintenance work, installation of trellis system and the organization of nurseries will be continued.

Last year Kuban agrarians got 614 million rubles from the regional budget. In the period from 2022 to 2024 over two billion roubles in regional and federal subsidies were allocated.
