The market of organic products in Russia by the end of 2022 could exceed 14 billion rubles. In the coming years, the volume of such products will increase by an average of 10-12% per year, estimated the center of industry expertise Rosselkhozbank.

According to analysts, the market of organic products in Russia is now at the beginning of its development - the share of organic products on the domestic food market is about 0.1% of the sales volume of 10-12 billion rubles.

A significant amount of "organics" still provides imports, due to substitution of which the volume of domestic production can grow, experts say. Development of this segment has already stimulated the pandemic, as market growth accelerated against a background of increased demand. During the pandemic, sales of organic food in monetary terms grew by 15-18%, and taking into account inflation in real terms, the growth was about 10%.

"In the coming years, the Russian market for organic products will continue to grow at an average rate of 10-12% per year, and its volume in 2022 could reach more than 14 billion rubles. The key factors of such growth will be the effect of low base, the legislative registration of the market and popularization of the culture of consumption of "organics", - said the head of the Organic Foundation Vyacheslav Fedyunin.
