In a few years, the number of categories of the contest among food products has increased from five to fifteen. This year, more than 30 companies have applied for participation in the tasting contest, which will present a total of more than 100 products to the expert jury.

One of the winners of last year's contest is a company from Samara, IHLYAS LLC. Director of the company Eltsin Aliyev emphasized that the status "Best Halal Product" is an undeniable advantage in negotiations with partners, and for regular customers - confirmation of reliability of the supplier. The assessment of companies takes into account not only the halal nature of the product, but also an ethical attitude to staff, the refusal of usurious transactions, fair competition policy, adherence to contractual relations, social activity (charity practice), investment in scientific and technological developments, useful for the industry and the economy as a whole.

Russia may become the largest exporter of halal products

Interest in the products of domestic manufacturers of halal is increasingly voiced by foreign partners and investors - the industry of agriculture and trade in halal products is one of the priorities for foreign investment, according to investors from the Gulf countries. Since 2015, there has been a trend of growth in exports of Russian-made halal products to foreign countries, mainly to Iran, UAE, Egypt and Saudi Arabia. The legal framework being developed in Russia for transactions under Islamic financial standards is designed to establish this type of investment cooperation.

The Russian company Miratorg, which is taking part in the Halal Exhibition for the first time, explains its entry into the Halal market by understanding the problem of insufficient production of high-quality halal products with high demand for them. This is what determined the new vector of Miratorg's development. The company is already exporting Halal beef to Iran, United Arab Emirates and Egypt. Work is underway to enter the markets of other countries.

As the representative of the State Agrarian Enterprise "Resource" notes, today the main competitors for the company in the international poultry meat market are the largest producers of poultry products from Brazil, the USA and Ukraine.

Buyers are interested in halal products.

At the same time, over a thousand companies have already registered for the Exhibition, half of which are interested in purchasing halal products. Purchasers will come not only from different regions of Russia but also from the UAE, Oman, Iran, Egypt, Switzerland, the UK, Kazakhstan and other countries.

According to the results of a sociological survey conducted by the organizers of the Exhibition, halal products are still not sufficiently represented in retail chains. This year, the organisers paid special attention to inviting participants from the network sales channels. Representatives of federal trade networks voiced their interest in visiting the exhibition and negotiating with suppliers.
