Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin decided to prolong for two years the terms of investment projects for the construction of fishing fleet ships and fish processing plants.

"The decision will allow investors who are experiencing difficulties under external sanctions pressure to avoid the risks of termination of investment quota agreements and continue the work they started," the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers said.

The first contracts for the construction of fishing vessels and fish processing plants began to be concluded in 2018 with a period of implementation until 2024. In total during this time 64 contracts for the construction of ships for 205 billion rubles and 24 contracts for the construction of fish processing plants with an investment of about 25 billion rubles have been signed. All vessels are built at Russian shipyards, as they are mentioned in the Press Service.
