Moscow and Tajikistan increased trade turnover by 91.3%
The trade turnover between Moscow and Tajikistan in 2021 increased by 91.3%, Deputy Mayor Vladimir Efimov said.
"Tajikistan is a long–standing reliable trading partner of the capital. In 2021, the trade turnover between Moscow and Tajikistan amounted to more than $ 174 million, which is 91.3% more than in 2020. In the total trade turnover of the Russian Federation with Tajikistan, the city's share reached 14.4% last year," the deputy mayor noted.
According to him, Moscow's exports amounted to about $ 133 million, which is 59.6% more than in 2020, imports increased 5.3 times compared to 2020 and exceeded $ 41 million. The demand for non-primary goods of the capital's production is also growing in the region.
The Mayor's office also noted that the indicators of the largest areas of non-primary non-energy exports have increased.
Thus, Moscow supplied almost $ 8.5 million worth of finished flour products, which is 37% more than a year earlier, the export of electrical devices increased by 40.7% to $ 4.3 million, and packaged medicines — by 24% to $ 6.3 million.
