The founder of the mattress manufacturer Ascona and his partners will invest 200 million rubles in the development of greenhouses for growing vegetables, herbs and berries in the Vladimir region, Interfax has learned.

The owner of the chain of stores Vladimir Sedov is among the shareholders of the company "Dobrograd Agro", registered on May 18, with a share of almost 25%, other shareholders are the CEO of the company Oleg Fomin (37.55%) and the president of Askona Life Group Roman Ershov (37.55%).

Dobrograd Agro plans to open six tunnel greenhouses with a total area of 1.2 thousand square meters, they will be built on the territory of the Dobrograd-1 special economic zone.

The capacity of the complex will allow to harvest annually more than 19 tons of lettuce and greens, 6 tons of strawberries and 72 tons of broccoli. Production will begin in April 2023, said Oleg Fomin, one of the owners of the greenhouse project. At the first stage, the company will meet the needs of Dobrograd with a population of 1 thousand people, and then, as production volumes grow, it will enter foreign markets and cooperate with network retail.
