The CEO of "Made in Russia" and the head of Dagestan discussed tourism in the region with students

Mikhail Sadchenkov, CEO of Made in Russia, took part in a meeting of the Head of Dagestan Sergey Melikov with students of the National Research University Higher School of Economics, who became prize-winners of the case championship "Development of a tourist cluster on the Caspian Sea coast".

At the meeting, the possibilities of developing arts and crafts in the region and the tourism potential of the republic, including the development of ecotourism, were discussed.

"There are many ethnic groups living in the republic: some in the mountains, some on the coastal territory, some on the plain. There are crafts that for centuries have formed the ethnic community that we have today," the head of Dagestan noted.

Mikhail Sadchenkov named the main problem of the folk arts and crafts industry in the Russian Federation

According to Mikhail Sadchenkov, now Russian specialists who are engaged in folk art crafts have a unique opportunity to occupy niches that are vacated by foreign companies.

"In my opinion, it is important not to miss the moment and use it to the maximum benefit for national brands. Since today we are also discussing the tourism potential, I want to note that all the restrictions that exist today also play into the hands of our tourism industry. I am sure that this time will be an impetus for the development of infrastructure in the regions and popularize recreation in various parts of our beautiful country among Russians," he said.
