"Abrau-Durso" is negotiating a market entry into the UK

36

Abrau-Durso plans to enter the UK market and start sales in the trade networks of the country after the search for an official distributor. The previous distributor, Berkmann Wine Cellars, has previously resigned from this role due to the political situation.

"We initially had an agreement with White Rose - a premium network at the level of our Taste ABC, probably a little more massive - and with Asda. With Asda it was very difficult for us, because they have an approach to sell very cheap wine, that is, first price. With White Rose we practically agreed, but unfortunately all this was interrupted by the fact that we lost the distributor. I think that if we have a normal distributor we will resume these negotiations," Pavel Titov, president of the company, told RNS.

Great Britain is the second most important market for Abrau-Durso after the German market, where supplies began last year. Currently, the share of exports in total sales of the company is about 1%, and by 2020 it should grow to 10%.
