Russia supported exporters to Armenia for $13 million

Russia has provided $13m in support for suppliers exporting their products to Armenia, said Veronika Nikishina, CEO of the Russian Export Center (REC).

She told that during the work in Armenian direction, REC has financed foreign economic projects for over $153mln.

Nikishina underlined that last year's indicators have twice increased while the current dynamics remains unchanged. However, she pointed out that these figures do not correspond to the real potential for introducing domestic products to the Armenian market. In this regard, the REC intends to considerably increase its presence in the country.

One of the promising vectors of work is the cooperation with the Investment Promotion Centre under the National Centre for Small and Medium Business Development of Armenia. The parties agreed to sign an agreement on cooperation by the end of September this year in Yerevan.

Besides, two business missions will soon take place in the format of a video conference to discuss the supply of personal protection equipment from Russia and to present the domestic educational equipment which can be used in the educational system of Armenia.

At the end, Nikishina pointed out that Russia is willing to offer individual solutions related to financing and insurance of export transactions, as well as to accompany and support during the negotiations. She stressed the importance of having Russian suppliers and customers from Armenia intensifying and diversifying their cooperation.
