Ryazan machine-tool plant Stankoservis has produced a new heavy-duty screw-cutting lathe under the contract with an Egyptian company.

The new equipment will be used for turning long massive parts that weigh no more than 10 tons in centers. At the same time, the maximum diameter of the part to be processed will be 1.14 meters. The maximum length of the workpiece in the centers will be 8 meters.

A massive slide and a wide base will ensure high rigidity and accuracy in the event of heavy cutting loads.

The PT117 machine can be equipped with an electrically driven tailstock with increased load capacity. There is a spindle in the tailstock quill that makes it possible to install standard chucks and other equipment.

Stankoservice works in the field of lathes and spare parts for metalworking.
