Support program for IT and animation exporters launched in Russia

A programme to support IT and animation exporters has begun to operate in Russia. The corresponding decree was signed by the country's Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

It is a question of issuing subsidies to support projects to improve competitiveness which concern the promotion, certification and adaptation of domestic products to the requirements of markets abroad, including those which contain the results of intellectual activity.

New measures are aimed at the IT-sphere and production of films and animation. Now the domestic film and software industry has the opportunity to increase its own capacity to enter foreign markets.

Now, within the framework of the program, the companies that work in these sectors will be able to get a subsidy of 300 million rubles in order to offset up to 50% of the cost of promoting their products outside the country and up to 80% of the cost of language adaptation. At the same time, the exporting producer will be obliged to increase the volume of deliveries abroad 3 times for cinema companies and 5 times for IT-specialists.

Due to these measures, the number of contracts with foreign partners will increase and the attractiveness of domestic goods outside Russia will increase.

It is worth noting that during the development of the adaptation programme the Ministry of Economic Development together with the Russian Export Centre cooperated with foreign experts in order to work out the most optimal and popular state support measures.
