Segezha Group launched production in Vologda

Segezha Group has opened a new splicing line produced by Austrian-Slovenian concern Ledinek Engineering at the Sokolsky woodworking plant near Vologda.

Every hour, the line produces 25 cubic meters of glued products. After its launching the productivity at the enterprise will increase by 20% up to 100 thousand cubic metres per year.

The production of houses from laminated veneer lumber and laminated beams is expected to grow. It will also significantly increase the assortment of products that are produced at the plant. The plant expects that the new poles and glued beams will be especially in demand in Japan, and glued beams with high strength will be exported to Scandinavian countries.

The new line will be fully operational by September.

We would like to remind the reader that Segezha Group is continuing to build a plant to produce cross-laminated panels. The first panels will be produced in winter of this year. The investment into the project amounts to about RUB 3 billion.
