The Zainsky elevator belonging to Agrosila Holding Company has launched a line for pelletizing sunflower husks.

The company's press service told the Made in Russia project that it makes it possible to simultaneously utilize plant waste after cleaning and produce energy-efficient fuel.

Director of the grain elevator Ramil Khabibrakhmanov said that the new production line is capable to compress the feedstock up to 5-10 times and produce fuel with energy efficiency up to 17-19 thousand kJ per 1 kg.

He cut the feedstock on a crusher and sent to the storage hopper, where the mass is moistened in a special conditioner mixer and then moves to the pressing chamber to produce pellets.

As Ramil Khabibrakhmanov says, pellets are pressed at high temperatures, and then they are sent with the help of a conveyor belt to a cooling column. There they are cooled and sieved to separate non-granulated particles. After that, the finished product is packed into big-bags.

The company plans to produce about 500 tons of pellets from sunflower husks in a season.

Especially for the storage of finished products was mounted hangar. Experts expect that the line will pay for itself in 3 years. Now the elevator has finished receiving grain crops and started receiving sunflower, there are also plans to process corn for grain in the future.

In total for the procurement season elevator took over 135 thousand tons of crops. Moreover, in the near future the company expects to receive about 28 thousand tons of sunflower and 8.5 thousand tons of corn.
