Russia tested the Angara-1.2 rocket

State Corporation "Roskosmos" reported on the successful completion of firing tests of the second stage of the launch vehicle light-class "Angara-1.2".

The test took place on Friday at the Rocket and Space Industry Research and Test Center (RSCC), which is owned by Roscosmos.

The corporation said that these tests are one of the final steps in the ground testing of the product. During the activities carried out specialists from the two design bureaus and SRC rocket complex checked the entire system of the second stage of the carrier, as well as the objectivity of incorporated design and technological solutions.

It is noted that thanks to the positive results of the bench testing will be decided to accept "Angara-1.2" in the upcoming flight and developmental testing.

Colonel General Sergey Surovikin, the Air Force Commander, announced in the summer that flight tests of the rocket involve three launches. However, it was not reported when the second launch would take place.
