New floating crane delivered to Vladivostok

The SPK-57150 self-propelled floating crane has arrived in Vladivostok. The vessel was delivered here along the Northern Sea Route with the help of tugboats from St. Petersburg.

The newest floating crane was built at the Almaz shipyard in St. Petersburg to the design 02690, in future it will become part of the support vessels of the Pacific Fleet.

At the moment, specialists are performing vessel re-conversion after the voyage and are preparing it for entry into the permanentreadiness force.

This crane is the fourth vessel of this project in the Pacific Fleet. The machinery will be used for loading weapons onto ships and submarines and for transportation of cargoes.

Besides, the crane can be used for strapping of chains of fixing floating berths, during installation and survey of roadside equipment and for transportation of cargoes on the upper deck.

The new self-propelled floating crane is 50m long and 22m wide with a displacement of two thousand tons and a cruising range of 3,500 miles. Autonomously, the vessel is capable of staying at sea for 10 days.
