A "People's Farmer" project will appear in Russia, headed by Oleg Sirota, a popular cheese maker in the country. The head of the Don farmers' union, Vadim Bandurin, told this in an interview.

According to him, the farmers now have a request for a new structure that would protect their interests. He noted that the existing industry organizations are not enough.

At the moment, the All-Russian People's Front (ANF) is creating the "People's Farmer" project, which will be headed by Sirota in the future, Bandurin said in a conversation with the National Agrarian Agency.

"I think this movement just might become that missing link between the federal government and farmers. Sirota has already visited the Rostov region twice this year, we are communicating quite closely in the working mode, and we have already been able to achieve some changes," said the head of the farmers' union.

Thus, according to him, it was possible, for example, to achieve a significant simplification of the procedure of maintenance of issued grants during the pandemic and maintain grant support.

Bandurin said that after the new structure is legally formalized and begins its operations, the farmer community will see positive changes in the sector.
