A Russian company may start building state-of-the-art domestic Alexandrit-E project 12701 minesweepers in India.

According to a representative of the United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC), according to their estimates, such a possibility exists with proper technological preparation. OSK is ready to use both materials and Indian-made products in the project.

The people of Hindustan have been expressing interest in the purchase of Alexandrites-E in communication with Rosoboronexport since 2017.

In February, the export version of the ship was presented at Defexpo India 2020.
