Six Russian regions were allocated 6.2 billion rubles for development

The Republic of Altai and Altai Territory, Karelia, Kurgan Region, Tuva and Kalmykia received over 6.2 billion rubles for the implementation of individual development programs.

The Ministry of Economic Development has already sent in the final tranche of about 1.7 billion roubles.

This year, the department has allocated over 6.2 billion rubles for eight regions to take part in the individual development programs.

Karelia will build road infrastructure for development of archaeological complex "White Sea Petroglyphs". Besides, now designing and construction of industrial buildings in the industrial park in Petrozavodsk is being conducted.

In Altai, these funds have been directed to the development of the tourism industry, transport and municipal infrastructure. For example, tourist trails are being built there, and by the end of the year the money will also be used to create a regional industrial development fund for the Republic and build new housing.

A complex for the production of reinforced concrete products and bricks is already being modernized in Tyva, as is the Cheder sanatorium. In addition, a timber processing plant will be launched there and infrastructure for housing construction will be created.

In the Altai Krai, the money provided will be used by small and medium-sized businesses to partially cover the costs of purchasing equipment. In Kalmykia, funds have also been provided to entrepreneurs. A microcredit company in Kurgan Region was recapitalised with this financing.
