The Tenisheva Smolensk Embroidery manufacturer of linen products exports its napkins, tablecloths, placemats, serving sets and runners to Ireland, the UK, France and Switzerland.

The company has found its new buyers on the online trading platform eBay.

The day before the company took part in various seminars, business missions and export fairs. Especially for international events the marketing kit and product catalogue were translated into foreign languages and a website in English was created.

As part of the national project to support small and medium-sized businesses, the regional Export Support Centre is engaged in placing Smolensk companies' accounts on international marketplaces - Alibaba, Etsy, Amazon, eBay and others.

At the same time, companies are sometimes paid, for example, for a seller's account on Alibaba.com at a cost of 1.5 thousand dollars. The center also trains exporters to work on the site and assists in drawing up product cards and attracting traffic.
