Valio has invested 178 million roubles in the modernisation of its processed cheese production line at the Ershovo cheese factory near Moscow, which has enabled the daily output to increase from 17 to 26 tonnes.

In particular, the process equipment was upgraded there and a line for automatic boxing of cheese was installed. Due to this, it became possible to increase the production volume of "tubs" weighing 400 grams from 17 to 26 tons per day.

Modernization began last year as part of the investment project. The new equipment was introduced gradually up to January this year.

Through the renovation at the plant about 20 new jobs were created. The cheese produced in the factory near Moscow is exported to the neighboring countries, including Georgia and Mongolia.Valio Ltd. is a Russian subdivision of the Finnish concern Valio, a leading dairy products manufacturer in Finland, was established in 1994 in St. Petersburg.
