The Vityaz portal crane with an articulated boom system was put into operation at the St. Petersburg seaport.

The lifting equipment manufacturer has fulfilled this contract three months ahead of schedule.

The crane is designed for transshipment of general, piece and bulk cargoes, its maximum capacity in hook mode is 63 tons, and in grapple mode 32 tons. The maximum boom outreach is 40 meters.

The enterprise specialists took into account the peculiarities of the port berth, so the design of the trolley design of the crane driving mechanism was improved. Due to installation of 12-wheelers the wheel and berth load has been decreased.

The equipment was mounted on the working enterprise, and in order not to disturb the production processes in the port the assembling was carried out on the temporary rails, which had been laid specially for this purpose. Then the crane was moved to the place where it will be operated.
