A multidisciplinary polygon, which will reduce by three times the path from idea to implementation, will appear in Perm by the end of 2023. Fundamental and applied research and testing of new technologies will be carried out here.

Pavel Ilyushin, Director of the Perm Scientific and Educational Centre for Sustainable Subsoil Use, says that the test site will make it possible to shorten approximately threefold - from 10 to 3 years on average - the path from a scientific idea to its implementation into production.

The new facility will be equipped with a unique complex of scientific equipment, including a mega-scientific facility. We are talking about complex scientific installations, which allow to conduct complementary research for several sciences, writes TASS.

The polygon may also be used for training of engineers and scientists, who are familiar with new technologies. Now the concept of the project is developed and stages of implementation of new equipment and technology in production are outlined. Prospects for development of the multi-branch polygon have already been determined.
