Krasnodar Region will sow 1.8 million hectares of fields with spring crops during the spring sowing, according to the website of the country's Ministry of Agriculture.

About 740,000 hectares of this area will be allocated for grain and leguminous crops.

At the moment, local agrarians have already been supplied with seeds and are now preparing fertilizers.

Also in the region in this season, it is planned to increase the sowing of sugar beets, peas and export-oriented crops - soybeans and winter rape. They will be planted on 70 thousand hectares. Thanks to this, the region will be able to increase the volume of exports to other countries.

Currently, most of the export is focused on crops. A total of 1.8 million hectares of winter crops have been sown to match this year's harvest.

The regional governor described the condition of winter crops as good; however, he pointed out that because of the lack of precipitation in autumn, the rape harvest is a cause for concern.
