Last year, 112 countries imported goods from Karelia. The share of the region's exports to China has doubled, said Oleg Ermolaev, head of the republic's Ministry of Economic Development and Industry.

Mainly pulp, cardboard, fish and wood products were supplied to China from Karelia. In total, the region has earned nearly 81 million dollars on exports to this country.

The Minister said that a quarter of all exports accounted for Finland, the second line was China, and the next three importers are the Netherlands, writes TASS.

This year regional companies intend to continue supplying their products to foreign markets, concluded the head of the agency.
