The largest agrarian enterprise in Kamchatka "Ovoschevod", which grows vegetables in the open field, this year will get state support.

Now the price for vegetables (potatoes, beets, cabbage, carrots) on the peninsula is considered one of the highest in the country. This is due to complicated delivery.

The regional authorities decided to additionally subsidize the enterprise, since it also produces fodder and procures hay for other cattle farms in Kamchatka. Over the last few years Ovoshechivod has been in a difficult cash situation. It is expected that additional funding will help keep it "afloat", stated Oxana Skosareva, deputy head of the Agricultural Production Department of the regional Ministry of Agriculture.

According to her, money will be allocated for purchasing seeds and the sowing campaign itself. The Ministry is now calculating the subsidy amount, which will enable the companies to overcome the crisis.
