Rostec will start supplying Olimp ammunition to Africa
The Central Research Institute of Precision Engineering (part of Rostec) will export Olimp sports cartridges to Africa for the first time, according to the website of the state corporation.
Such cartridges have previously been supplied to European countries, Asia, America, Australia and Oceania.
The institute developed the cartridges for the 1980 Olympic Games. The Soviet and Russian athletes using "Olimp" cartridges won more than 250 gold medals in various international competitions, including world and European championships, and set more than a hundred records.
The cartridges are distinguished by increased wind resistance and high shot accuracy. The "Olimp" family consists of nine groups of cartridges, including "Olimp-BI" and "Olimp B", which are used during important competitions.
