Technopolis Moscow resident launches production of contacts for microelectronics

A resident of the special economic zone (SEZ) Technopolis Moscow - company Test-Contact - will start production of contacting devices by the end of this year, according to the website of the Ministry of Industry and Trade (Minpromtorg) of the Russian Federation.

"Currently, domestic companies producing civilian and defense microchips mainly use foreign contact devices and satellite carriers. The volume of import of these products is estimated at more than 200 million rubles. "Test-Contact has developed and put into mass production contacting devices of its own production with improved characteristics as compared to imported analogues. The annual production volume is planned in the amount of 30 thousand units, which will allow the enterprise to become the main supplier of these products on the Russian market", - said Alexander Prokhorov, head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy of Moscow.

As explained in the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the new contacting devices for microelectronics were developed in 2019 and passed all test tests. Unlike their foreign counterparts, Moscow products can operate in a wide temperature range (from minus 60 to plus 170 degrees) thanks to the use of modern high-temperature polymers.

The contacting devices will be fully assembled at Technopolis. The first customers of the new products have already been such companies as Mikron, Dizayn Center Soyuz, Scientific and Production Center ELVIS and Angstrem.
