The Uglichkabel cable plant in the Yaroslavl Region has opened a production facility to manufacture new products worth 230 million rubles.

According to the company, the new shop will produce instrumental cables for automation and control systems, including fire-resistant cables designed to transmit analog or digital signals in measurement and control of technological processes. It will create 30 new jobs.

The new plant is expected to produce about two thousand kilometres of cable a year, and the annual output will be 300 tons of copper.

"Uglichkabel is one of the most modern enterprises in the cable industry in Russia. It was built from scratch by Nexans, a global leader in the development, production and supply of cable products and accessories, and commissioned in November 2008. In December 2016, Nexans reorganized the plant management model by transferring the management functions to Impex Electro.

The official opening of the plant took place on November 20, 2008, with a total area of more than 76.7 thousand square meters. At the moment the plant provides its developments and products to the clients in such key economic sectors as energy, transport and construction.
