Moscow Technopolis residents created 1.5 times more jobs in 2020

Residents of Technopolis "Moscow", which is a special economic zone (SEZ), created about 1,3 thousand jobs last year, which is 1,5 times more than a year earlier, said Deputy Mayor of Moscow Vladimir Yefimov.

"More than 80 companies have a resident status in the Moscow SEZ. In 2020 they created about 1,3 thousand jobs, which is 62% more than a year earlier. Only since 2006 - during the existence of Moscow SEZ - residents have organized more than seven thousand jobs", - Deputy mayor said, his words are given in the message on the website of SEZ.

Leaders in staff attraction are enterprises of microelectronics, optics and robotics cluster, which account for more than 40% of new workplaces.

"Manufacturers of microelectronic products, optical solutions and robotic complexes created 528 jobs, accounting for more than 40% of the 2020 total. The growing cluster of medical technologies, equipment and biopharma is also among the leaders in attracting personnel - enterprises of this industry created 198 jobs," added Alexander Prokhorov, head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy.

More than 200 candidates and doctors of science are engaged in developments, implementation and production in the enterprises of the Moscow SEZ, which provides companies with high technological level and competitiveness.

General Director of Technopolis Gennady Degtev noted that a decent level of remuneration of labour allows to attract qualified personnel. In 2020 the average salary at the enterprises of the SEZ was about 80 thousand rubles.
