Moscow has introduced compulsory vaccination for workers in the service sector

Mandatory vaccination for service sector workers has been introduced in Moscow. The relevant decree was adopted in the city on Wednesday.

"Due to the extremely severe epidemiological situation, the Chief State Medical Officer of the city of Moscow today adopted a decree on mandatory vaccination of workers in the service sector," Mayor Sergei Sobyanin explained in his blog.

According to the decree of the Chief Sanitary Doctor of Moscow, the organizations must ensure vaccination of at least 60% of the employees. We are talking about catering, beauty salons, fitness clubs, organizations of public services (dry cleaners, laundries, etc.), MFC, taxi, health, education, housing and energy organizations, playrooms, children's camps, leisure and entertainment facilities, theaters, cinemas and others.

From July 1 to July 15 individual entrepreneurs will have to provide a confirmation of the implementation of the city ordinance in electronic form on the official government website mos.ru.

In order to implement the decree, the mayor adopted a decree defining the mechanism and procedure for its implementation. Thus, by July 1, 2021 there will be created a special information system that will allow to control the process of achieving the required vaccination rates in accordance with the decree.
