Novosibirsk Institute of Electronic Devices is upgrading its production for 160 million rubles

Novosibirsk Research Institute of Electronic Devices (part of Rostec) will invest over 160 million rubles in modernization of its own production, the press service of Techmash Concern (part of Rostec's Technodinamika control circuit) said.

Earlier the institute spent 200 million rubles to reconstruct the site for the manufacture of microwave devices, TASS writes. This money was used to bring the new site for the production of microwave modules to its design capacity and in the second half of the year a new site for SMT-mounting (surface mounting technology) for the production of multicomponent microelectronics will be put into commercial operation. This will increase the output of finished products in a number of areas up to 10%.

Overall, the technical re-equipment made it possible to increase net profit in the first half of this year by 60% compared to 2020.

The institute is one of the leaders in the country among the developers of short-range location systems in the electromagnetic wave range from decimetric to optical, as well as onboard computing machines and automation for various systems of arms and military equipment.
