Krasnodar resorts will accept only vaccinated tourists from August 1

Only tourists with vaccination against coronavirus will be able to visit Krasnodar Region resorts from August 1, and from July 1 a PCR test will be required for recreation in the region. The corresponding decision was taken by Governor Veniamin Kondratiev at the meeting of the operational headquarters.

Starting next month hotels, inns, guest houses and sanatoriums will be accepting tourists only if they have a negative PCR-test within 72 hours or a document confirming vaccination.

A month later the rules will be made stricter, and since August 1 only those who have had a vaccination will be allowed to have a rest at the Black Sea. The holiday-makers with a health certificate will be an exception.

At that certificates won't be necessary for children. Also, new rules will not apply to children's camps and health facilities.

According to Kondratiev, the decision is due to the increased number of people who have fallen ill in the last two weeks.

"Today, for the first time since the end of March, more than 120 cases have been identified. The most effective way to deal with the threat is to form a collective immunity. We have increased the rate of vaccination of the region's residents, but with the beginning of the holiday season, we are recording more and more imported cases," said the head of the region.
