The Vologda Region has sent 6.7 tons of fresh-frozen berries to Germany since the beginning of this year, according to the Rosselkhoznadzor website.

"Blackberries, cherries, cherries, cranberries, blueberries, currants, black chokeberry, sea buckthorn, strawberries, raspberries and cowberries were sent from the territory of the Vologda region to Germany. The office examined the berries for compliance with all the phytosanitary requirements of the importing country," the report says.

It is specified that the products have received the necessary certificates and have passed control on radionuclide content. The research has confirmed the safety of Vologda berries.

Export volumes of berries from the Vologda Region this year, according to the Ministry, are already higher than in 2020. Thus, last year the region shipped 6.2 tons of fresh-frozen berries to Germany, Romania, and Finland.
