Micron factory launched a new tag for marking metal and glass surfaces

The resident of Technopolis "Moscow" - the plant "Micron" - has developed and put into production a new RFID tag "Scorpion" for labeling of metal and glass surfaces, the company said.

"The new ultra-high-frequency tag is successfully read on glass surfaces, including containers with liquids. For maximum reading range with minimal size, we have applied in the tag an additional antenna terminating element that closes on the metallized substrate of the tag when it is applied to the object. Such design of the tag defined its trade name - "Scorpion", - said the head of the laboratory of RFID company Alexei Markin.

The head of Technopolis "Moscow" Gennady Degtev noted that thanks to the small size new tags will be effective for automation of production and logistics processes, warehouse accounting, inventory, counterfeit goods control, access control to different objects and storage units.

Z1885M-34D "Scorpion" is the third in a series of self-adhesive UHF RFID tags for tagging of metal objects produced by the company. The company's portfolio includes more than 200 tags of different types and modifications.
