Moscow manufacturers of salon equipment, perfumes, grooming and decorative cosmetics can take part in a business mission as part of the Intercharm Korea industry exhibition in Seoul. The event will be held on September 15-17, the Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development of the Moscow government said.

"The export of cosmetic products of Moscow entrepreneurs in the first four months of 2021, compared to the same period last year, increased by 20.5% to $144.4 million. At the same time the export volume to Korea has increased by more than 2.5 times. Now the products of the Moscow beauty industry are in demand in 82 countries. The promotion of the capital's goods is helped, among other things, by their presence at international exhibitions, the costs of participation in which are reimbursed by the city. The amount of compensation in overseas events is up to 700 thousand roubles, in Russian events up to 350 thousand roubles", said Alexey Fursin, head of the department.

International exhibition of cosmetic products Intercharm is on the list of events where business can reimburse the costs of participation. This is the third time the Moscow Export Centre (MEC) will organize the participation of Moscow companies in Intercharm Korea. Previously, 24 Moscow entrepreneurs have presented their products at the event under the common brand Made in Moscow. Based on the results of last year's exhibition, Estenity Lab Rus signed an export contract with Korea for the supply of Icon Skin professional cosmeceuticals.

As part of the negotiations to be held at Intercharm Korea in an online format, Moscow entrepreneurs will be able to present products to foreign buyers. MEC will finance business meetings, interpreting services and preparation of presentation materials. All in all, 14 companies will be chosen by the expert commission. The application for participation may be submitted till July 31.

Now the list of events, in which Moscow companies may reimburse the costs for the registration fee, lease of the exhibition space, construction and equipping of the stand in 2020 and 2021, exceeds 800. To date, 88 applications for this support measure have been approved for a total amount exceeding 17 million rubles.
