A play by a youth theater from EAD received an award in Israel

The production "Anne Frank" by the youth theater studio "Good People" from the Jewish Autonomous Region received an award at the international multi-genre festival-contest of children's, youth and adult art "Holy Land" in Jerusalem. This is reported on the regional website "Culture".

Previously, the play has already won the Grand Prix of the international festival competition "Mask" in Moscow and Grand Prix at Pearls of Europe in Prague.

The production is based on the book written from the diary of the Jewish girl Anne Frank from the Netherlands.

"The subject is a painful and important one that should never be forgotten. Organisers of creative competitions and juries understand this and assess it as one of the most important. We talk about it in the artistic language of theatre. The awards show that we have managed to make a statement through this performance," said Irina Shaitanova, the artistic director of the studio theatre.

She shared that the play's cast has changed almost completely since the first staging before the pandemonium. The spectators will be able to see the new performance on August 18 on the stage of the Regional Philharmonic Society before the team goes to the Eastern Economic Forum. There, the studio theatre will present the play as part of the cultural programme of the region.
