Soybean exports to Asia-Pacific (APR) countries increased 4.4 times in the first half of the year, Vostok of Russia news and analysis agency reported.

The main importers of this product were China, Korea, Taiwan and Japan, the media reported, citing the press service of the government. A total of 520 thousand tons of products worth over $176 million were sold. That is 4.4 times more than last year's figures for the same period.

The volume of deliveries of local agro-industrial products to foreign markets exceeded one billion rubles in total. In the first six months of this year the region exported 724 thousand tons of fish and seafood. Western and Central African countries imported about half of such sea products.
