Chuvashia has increased the volume of biscuit supplies to China 83 times since the beginning of this year and has started supplying local alcohol to the PRC for the first time, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic reported.

On the whole, the region has increased exports of agricultural products to China by 9.8% during this period. A total of 4.2 thousand tons of goods worth about 10 million dollars were shipped.

In particular Chuvashia has increased the export of biscuits by 83 times in comparison with the previous year.

In addition, this year the Republic is the first supplier of locally produced alcoholic beverages to China, said the acting Head of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic Alina Semenova.

He pointed to the high potential of the agro-export of regional producers and noted that the volume of shipments to China could be even higher in the case of the formation of clear communication.

It was reported earlier that at the end of the first half of the year the volume of waffles export from Chuvashia increased by 25%.
