Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov held a meeting with Vural Akom, Chairman of the Board of the Turkish company Intercity, during which the development of cooperation between the parties was discussed, the official portal of Tatarstan reported.

"During the conversation Rustam Minnikhanov and Vural Ak discussed prospects for cooperation in motorsport," the statement reads.

It is specified that "Intercity" company provides motor transport lease services and is one of the largest players in the market with a fleet of over 40 thousand cars. In addition the company manages the Turkish sports track Intercity Istanbul Park, where major international motor racing competitions are held.
