A new ₽80 million production facility was launched at a plant in the Orenburg region

"Mechanical Plant" in Orsk has launched a new iron casting shop with an induction melting complex. More than 80 million rubles were invested in its creation, according to the website of the Orenburg Region.

The products produced here will be used in machine building, military production, utilities, automotive and other industries.

"The company has invested more than 80 million rubles in the new production project. New equipment has been installed in the shop, which can provide 7 thousand tons of casting and production of a wide range of products," the report says and specifies that the launching will create about 150 new jobs.

Products to be manufactured in the shop can be final product (e.g. it can be anchor for fixing rail track) or serve as a billet for subsequent machining operations, as in case of brake discs for cars or casings for burners for household cookers.

To date the enterprise has already concluded supply contracts with companies from Kirov, Kostroma and Kurgan. When the plant reaches its designed capacity it will be able to increase the production output by 800 million roubles.

"The Orsk Mechanical Plant makes more than 200 types of military products and components for the oilfield industry. The enterprise all in all employs 1.6 thousand people.
