The trade turnover between Moscow and Italy increased by more than 32%

The trade turnover between Moscow and Italy increased by 32,8% in the first half of 2021. This was reported by Vladimir Yefimov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations.

"In the first six months of 2021, trade turnover between Moscow and Italy increased by 32.8% compared to the same period of last year, and reached $ 7.5 billion," - said Efimov.

He noted that non-energy exports, which amounted to $647.58 million during this period, played an important role in increasing trade turnover. It is more than 3.5 times higher than in 2020. It accounted for 13.3% of Moscow's total exports to the Italian market, the official said.

The mayor's office also said that the commodity structure of goods is very diverse. A significant contribution was made by the supply of pharmaceutical products, so immunological products, which previously were almost not supplied to Italy, in the first half of 2021 were exported for a total of 34.56 million dollars.

Mechanical equipment, machinery and computers worth 8.83 million dollars, electric and communication equipment worth 1.64 million dollars, optics, instruments and medical equipment worth 1.47 million dollars were also exported.
