The first "Farmer's School" opened in Russia

Russia's first "Farmer's School" has appeared in the Krasnodar Region. This was reported by the press service of the regional administration.

The educational project is being implemented on the basis of the Kuban Agrarian University. It is organized with the support of "Rosselkhozbank", the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia and the Ministry of Agriculture of the Territory.

A total of 25 students will study at the first session of the Farmer's School, free of charge. The training will cover two areas: "Dairy Cattle Breeding" and "Gardening". Classes began on September 1 and will last two months. During this period, the participants will learn the latest agricultural technologies, learn legal aspects and financial business models. The practical program will be provided on the basis of the leading agricultural enterprises of the region.

Vice-Governor Andrey Korobka said that today, to develop their business, it is important not only to know the details of production but also to understand the legal issues, the basics of marketing, and to be able to cooperate with other market participants and promote your product. "All this will be taught at the "Farmer's School". Our region needs such projects. Last year, the value of products produced in small-scale farming exceeded 153 billion rubles. Our task is to consolidate and strengthen this result to the maximum," he said.
