A growth point for the Southern Federal District: Vladivostok is increasing its investments every year

Vladivostok annually increases the volume of attracted investments and becomes more attractive for tourists and entrepreneurs around the world. The region's potential in the international arena is largely helped by the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF), which helps to create a recognizable, attractive image of Vladivostok in the eyes of foreigners. This is what the new issue of the Roscongress Foundation's special project 'Regions of Russia' is about.

Within the limits of a new release "Vladivostok: point of growth of the Far East". "Regions of Russia" visited the country's only engine manufacturing facility - the Russian-Japanese Mazda Sollers plant. It produces 84 engines a day. All of them are exported to Japan, where they are distributed among the cars.

In addition, the media project met with the management of Pacifico Yachts shipyard which manufactures yachts and pleasure catamarans for the domestic market and for export. The company supplies its products to Saint-Petersburg, Sevastopol and Irkutsk. Besides, the yard is cooperating with South Korea and is establishing contacts with the European Union.

Igor Trofimov, director of the Investment Agency of Primorsky Territory, told the special project that the region has been recording a steady annual growth of investment in fixed assets over the past few years. "Now more than 182 billion rubles annually. These are mainly investors from Russia and APEC countries - China, Korea Japan," Trofimov said.

According to him, the WEF plays an important role in this: it allows the region to reveal the region's opportunities to potential investors as much as possible and performs the function of promoting the region in the international arena. "We hope that this year the results of the forum will be taken positive infrastructure decisions", - he said.

At the same time, Trofimov reminded that Primorye has a number of tax preferences. "Their list is very wide. This includes property tax incentives, and income tax incentives, and very large incentives for payments to non-state funds," he reminded.

For his part, Vladivostok Mayor Konstantin Shestakov noted that the Eastern Economic Forum is important for the city "not for immediate benefits. "It is an opportunity to identify Vladivostok as a significant growth point in the east of the country, an outpost of the country in APEC, on the map of the whole world," Shestakov said.

Media project "Regions of Russia" tells about the benefits of recreation in the country, which conditions and investment opportunities have the region for opening a business, as well as introduces the unique tourist routes.
