Estonia allows entry to Russians vaccinated with Sputnik V

Russians vaccinated with the Sputnik V vaccine can now visit Estonia, RIA Novosti reported citing the Estonian Embassy in Moscow.

"The relevant decision of the Estonian Health Department applies to the Sputnik V vaccine," the diplomatic mission said.

They explained that Russians will be able to enter the republic after full vaccination with two components of the vaccine. They will have to present a certificate to that effect.

Previously, the Estonian Health Board has decided to allow everyone arriving in the country to confirm their infectious safety with any drugs, officially used in different countries. In Estonia itself, drugs from Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca and Janssen are used for immunization.

Earlier the World Health Organization (WHO) announced that it would give an opinion on the use of the vaccine "Sputnik V" after Russia had submitted a complete package of documents on the drug, which would include data and opinions on its quality, safety and efficacy. The Russian side reported that all documents required for approval have already been submitted to the European Medicines Agency (EMA).
